Westat is a company I currently work for on a temporary basis. An employee owned market research company they routinely hire home based telephone interviewers. When they hire depends on the needs of the research study. Forewarning: This is not an easy job. You must be polite, a good listener and have a high tolerance for rejection. However, they offer flexibility, weekly paychecks and seasonal bonuses. They pay more to reps willing to work nights and weekends and if you are bilingual. If you hate telephone work or do not have the ability to persuade others this may not be the job for you.
