Found this site a long time ago and recently rediscovered it. Chock full of helpful info for those interested in working from home. Run by a husband and wife team who are authors and public speakers on how to make the transition. Most helpful is their home based call center chart which helps demystify the hiring process for a number of companies. Also helpful are their articles on different industries and their daily job postings. Their overall attitude is that working from home is a movement, so get with the program. Good stuff!

Westat is a company I currently work for on a temporary basis. An employee owned market research company they routinely hire home based telephone interviewers. When they hire depends on the needs of the research study. Forewarning: This is not an easy job. You must be polite, a good listener and have a high tolerance for rejection. However, they offer flexibility, weekly paychecks and seasonal bonuses. They pay more to reps willing to work nights and weekends and if you are bilingual. If you hate telephone work or do not have the ability to persuade others this may not be the job for you.

Overland Solutions, Inc is hiring in many locations for Premium Auditors. As a professional with an associates degree in accounting or bookkeeping and property casualty experience, you can work as a remote auditor from home traveling to businesses within your local city. Were you someone that loved to take standardized tests? Ever thought about scoring them? ETS handles assessment of the TOEFL, the GRE and other educational related standardized exams. Seasonally they hire and train individuals to work from home grading the exams. Most online opportunities were not open at this time, but stay tuned they may open again in the near future.
